Kakariki, Care, Breeding, Diet, Health, Aviaries and Conservation - Orange-fronted success on Chalky Island, New Zealand

Captive-raised orange-fronted kakariki translocated to pest-free Chalky Island last year in remote Fiordland, New Zealand are currently sitting on four nests, three of which have eggs. This is fantastic news for the long-term conservation of this species in the wild, and will hopefully lead to a self-sustaining population on the island.
