Hi all

Once again, a question. I've been searching through the forum a bit, but didn't really find a satisfying answer yet. So here the question:
How many eggs would be normal? She's been laying eggs for 2 weeks straight now. Already 9 eggs. Her first egg not included as it got 'stuck' and we had to ask the vet to help her and it 'kinda' fell on the ground into pieces.
Could there now be some psychological damage causing her to keep on laying eggs at full throttle? Or could it be coincidental? Anyway, at how many eggs should I be running to the vet? Or is there anything I can do to make her stop? You see, it's the first time she's started to lay eggs. And her first partner died (before she got to laying).

Thanks in advance for all your help and advice!

Kind regards
Simon

The most we have had a pair lay is 32 in one clutch. The smallest clutch was 2 and both of those hatched. There really is no set rules as to how many eggs will be laid in a clutch but as Steptoe said 5-6 is about the average.
