I have a pair of lutino kakarikis and i wanted to kno how often i should feed a 2 week old baby

i also wanted to kno how to make a brooder

Do you know what to feed baby kakarikis if you are handrearing them from been born? i know that you feed them with a seringe but what do you put inside the seringe to fee them? Do you need to feed them with a seringe every 2 hours if you and hand rearing them from been born ?

First of all a question, why are you handfeeding, was there a problem. If you want to do so because you want them to be tame/companion bird you can leave them with the parents to the poin they open there eyes. This will give them a head start and you dont have to get up in the middle of the night. Just get hand rearing food at pet store, usually adding a bit of water at rightn temp, in plastic syringe and feed till crop is full. Brooder can be plastic (ice cream ) box, put unbleached toilet paper in, clean every time you feed ( 4 -5 times a day) and make sure they are nice and warm.

Hi ,
I have only 1 young from first clutch of eggs soon to leave the nest box and the hen
has layed 8+ eggs already is this normal ?
