Here in Australia we have a Kakariki mutation which is born either normal green or cinnamon. These birds can also be pied. They then begin to turn yellow. Some start at 6 weeks old, while others don't change until their first full moult at approx 12 months. Usually they start to turn yellow around the head area then it progresses through the entire body until the bird is completely yellow. A few birds recently have stopped at a very mottled stage and haven't progressed any further.
A picture is available of a mottled hen in Kaka-riki Photo Album in this site.
My question is: has anyone outside of Australia seen or bred these types of birds? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have a pair of cinnamon s who have bred Yellow fronted cinnamons who are getting the mottled yellow through them. Could Wyndara or anyone else give me more information about them. Is it alright to continue breading with this pair?
