My husband has a red crowned kakariki he got her in 2006 from a pet store in Canada and she was 6 months old then. We were just wondering if anyone could tell me how long they could live. I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you in advance.
Much depends on conditions, diet etc like any animal / person
A good age for captive kakariki is over 7 to 9 yrs....with 12 / 14 not uncommon, and 15 to 17 not unheard of. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
Last year our oldest kakariki died in the age of 16,
but at the time we care for very heathy kakariki in the age of 16 and 15 years. The oldest kakariki we ever heared of was 18
