i have got a pair of kakarikis yesterday and my male lost a claw, and is bleeding what do i do?? and will its claw grow back? thanks

I see nobody could reply to your post so far.
Some talc powder might help.
Next time use the search function or take a look at the Stickys at the "Vets corner" section of the forum, very informative.

Did he loose 1 nail or a whole finger or the whole claw/foot?

Hope the fella is doing all right.

Bleeding....we use silver nitrate sticks.....
"Quick search " block will give more details and some other duggestions.

No the claw will not grow back if lost to close to the quick...
This will not effect the bird in the long run.

thankyou for your kind help, leo is very well atm his acting normal no he onli lost his claw buh theres still a tiny bit left? i was jus makin sure that it wont affect him if it didnt grow back thanks for ur help :)
