hi i have a question...

i have a (my first) kakariki of allmost 1 year old right now (male i think).
my sister allso both a kakariki but it seems that it isnt clickking between them. (it bite`s here dosnt like to be toucht and sit still in a corner of its cage) when i come in the room its beginning to talk and jumps arround and i can do all things whit it, it even follows me arround.

now have my sister given me the bird do to my relasionship whit it but this bird (dont know the gender but i allso think a male) dosnt wanna do any thing whit my own kakariki its even ignoring it but my kakariki is allso ignoring him, the both are still in a sep cage but do to my small living space i like to have tham both in the same cage.

my bird is about 11 months now and my sisters bird is about 13 weeks

what is the best way to put tham together?
the both walk arround the house at the same time but the keep a big distance between tham

oww yea i have tham both now about 9 days

sorry for my bad english aint used to use english much in daily life.

My first male Kak had no problem w/ an old canary. Currently I have two 12yr old Kak brothers. If it wasn't for them making such a HUGE fuss when I tried to seperate them, I'd only have one. Besides they keep each other company.

Think I understand
you have a kakariki think its a male about 12 months old (near mature bird
your sister has another kakariki about 3 months old (a flightly young teenager)

And you have had both for about 9 days.

A yound adault male and a young flighty female, in a new place to live, they will be more into investigating, exploering, advantures than getting close together....they will be awaer of each others existance, and for the time being that suits them.

I would suggest getting a new larger cage that neither are familar with, put them both in and see what happens
Do not put both into you current cages, could get a bit scrapy....would you like an univited board living in your bedroom?
If that doesnt work, put both cage a couple feet away from each other, and the bigger new cage in the middle.

In 9 days, thats bit soon to expect miricals....give them a few months to get older, wiser and accustomed to the enviroment.
