Hi!

have been just taking a look at a French blog and found this
http://markok.skyrock.com/3.html

I'm curious if someone else knows something about this bird.

Cheers / Pablo

This one is from a Belgian breeder. I found him on a sales site. He was looking for breeders of a same looking bird. I was curious and asked him via email if it was possible to bring him a visit. He suddenly replied that the bird was sold. Probably he didn't tolerate any prier.

Well... I hope you are not right Peter, but... probably you will be, sadly.

Money and hybrids for transmutation.

I hope at least the new mutations fall in hands of responsible breeders, so we can enjoy good quality mutation birds.

Regards / Pablo

Hi Guys i don't think the photo is a fake as there have been a few of these birds here in Australia. There was 1 for sale that had much red on it only 12 months and i know of another guy in Sydney that has one. They are similar to the mottleds as they change with age. Generally after 3 years and most have liver problems and don't breed anyway. It also seems to only show up in cinnamons. Cheers Kevin

Hi Kev,

I have seen this happen in a lutino roseicollis lovebird my girlfriend used to have.
What I read is that some roseicollis are prone to liver diseases.

Regards / Pablo

Peter,

real lutino yellow fronted? or fallow goldcheck y.f.?

Thanks for sharing info. anyway. This stuff happens... sometimes.
Even Dirk V. Abelee mentions a similar incident in his book. He made a long drive for nothing.

Regards/ Pablo
