A very handsome little man. Next time you let him out let him have a bath now that is very comical to watch. I use a medium size roasting tin, with cool water (not freezing or to warm ). TOP TIP put the tray down first then fill it up as you will spill it if you try to carry a full tin. Laughing I fill it up as much as i can as mine love a full bath, in both the house and in the outdoor avairys. Put a towel down under the tin as they like to splash alot. He might not go to it straight away. Some people let their Kaks bath in the sink but remember to lock the outside door.
When mine have a bath ( Ive got 6 Kaks and over 70 Zebra finches that love a bath) i have to keep topping the water up. Happy bathing.

There are threads and posts in these forums as to how to get them back into their cage, how to tame down, their nature toys etc
Its best to get in at the early stage rather than thingd start to get out of hand, then retrain habits behavour
To the left is a "quick search" box

When the kakariki are used to jumping off the side in, can only touch the bottom with tippy toes, and swim...
Or a bunch of them, swiming, flapping duncking, getting tipped in by a random flapping wing....All happening 1m away right next to the coffee table. Alpha male sitting watching over everything while the oppunist is on the perch behind the mesh after any tip bits 1/4m from ones shoulder.

He will soon start to go on the floor. When mine were in the house years ago i put their bath down and a couple of grapes and just left them to it. After 5 mins they flew down and inspected everything, Kakis are very nosey little birds. After a good soaking in the bath they use to fly upto the curtain pools to dry and preen and then they went into their cage on their own.
As for the dog our Kakis would go and sit with her in her basket, and even walk on her back. We introduced our kaki to our dog so the dog didnt become jealous. Now all my kakis are outside and our dog always goes and sits watching them.
Enjoy little Harry he will make you laugh alot.
