hi am new here and i have been browsing this wonderful site for some time now so i finally decided to join. now as i have been browsing i have been seeing a lot of green and red kakarikis and mine is not green at all he is yellow with red on his cheeks and head i am wondering what this is called ?? I am also wonderign if anyone can guess his sex. as you can see i have been calling him a he so i am hoping for a male however i love him regardless i will just change his name to Maxine signlol any help will be greatly appreciated

The green kakariki is what is in the wild...(there used to be mutations too)
The "yellow" refers to the yellow crown species and the "red" refers to the red crown species
yours is a red crown...the yellow body is a mutation.

Have a browse thru the gallery there are sections on mutations species etc.

Your little man appears to be a male.
