Seems u and I are very much alike in pets
Our cat was a blue russian, known for its agression, hunting skill and very independant....like a kakariki.
We have our house parrots the same...
We co habit with our animals rather than 'pet' them, have them emotionally dependant, but at the same time Im the Alpha male.
Having pets with their natural instincts, behavours and personalutys is so much more rewarding...with just enough 'alpha male ' control to limit some behavours...which is no different to what the alpha male does in the wild. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
well its been over a week now and syd has settled well. he's sooo smart. He now lets me handle him outside the cage. I have to goto him, but he sits on my finger now and i no longer need my make-shift hand perch. As long as i have some fresh carrot, im good.
Dunno if he has learned his name yet.
He has started this cockerel call which puts me in stitches . and he loves it when i open the front door. he runs about at the bottom of the cage like a little dog .
Iv orded him a new cage should be here tomorrow, hope he likes it.
Im so amazed that he has learned so much in a little space of time. little Einstein!! x

A hell of a lot of that has to do with the owner....
That is a general statement, not a compliment. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
