Yes, i did say he was ill last year, he never really did get any better..

he was moulting quite a bit, looked like a big ball of fluff, slept and ate alot..

He was still his cheeky little self up till the morning i found him lying at the bottom of the aviary...

I would like to know if anyone knows what exactly he died of...

autopsy isnt possible as his body has been disposed of as i have other pets and people in household and it is not fair/hygienic to leave corpses lying around.

Difficult to say. Can be anything. Aspergilosis, worms, teflon poisoning.
I think it's better to consider an autopsy by a good bird vet. Otherwise you'll never know the reason why. Bear in mind you still have another bird wich could been infected.
