Egg laid today need advice

Hi

I have just joined your site today. I need some advice as my Zukey & Sally have laid an egg and I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ralfy,

I am not sure what advice you are looking for. Assuming the egg was laid in a nest box there is not a lot you need to do in the short term. Just make sure the birds have plenty of fresh food daily.

Is there anything I should be feeding the parents extra?
At the moment I feed them strawberries,kiwifruit,rockmelon,celery,endiv,apple, corn, grapes, small parrot mix sead, millet. I also have calcium bells and seed sticks in their cage. All seed, fruit and water are replaced daily.

And yes the eggs are in a nesting box and they are in a large cage kept inside with us.

hi Ralfy the diet seems ok but have a look at general care in forums steptoe writes a very good article on what to feed your birds.
