i started some time ago with 2 females that were given to me, i noticed one day that they were to trying to mate with each other, so a friend gave me a male i called him max, now there is no real fighting amongst them the odd squabble now and then but the 2 females seem to take little or no interest in him and still try and mate with each other, i have no desire to give up any of them because they all have different personalities and are fun to be around i would like to know if anyone else has had the same problem and if so what was the out come Think

I haven't had this happen with mine, I have heard of it happening in other bird species where 2 of the same sex bond strongly with each other.
Probably the only way to get a girl interested in the boy is to house them together and separate a female out of sight & ear shot - which is hard when they can be very loud!
