We have few days off and are considering hitting The Mountain on final race day...
What else is there to do in Aussie leading up to Final day.
Anyone else going?

Catch up with a few guys again, in a gaming squad been part of for last 8yrs www.an-squad.net Bullseye did a lot of the graphics or this site.

Would like to catch up with a few of u guys to, hopefully see some mutations...we dont have them in NZ.
Most prob fly into Sydney, hire a car, stay over with a couple guys from the gaming squad....

Dont believe serious gamers are kids...the ave ave of the serious gamer is 35yrs...with families
They are not nerds, Our squad is made up from Enterpriners, ex naval officers, active and retired miltary guys, electritians who run their own companies, Welders who work on some of the biggest machinery in the world....And often our children signlol

Steps,

It is around 15 - 18 hours drive from Adelaide to Sydney. I was seriously considering a trip BUT with the cheating currently going on in the Holden camp I wont patronise the promoters with my hard earned money.

Sacking drivers and re-signing them to other teams is not in the spirit of any sport and it makes us Aussies look like cheats. If you decide to come over and visit Kevin i might look at flying over for a day. Let me know if it all happens and I will check out the flights.

Hi Steps Adelaide is about 15 hours driving time and 1400kms. If kaka-riki had a Holden instead of a Ford it would be quicker. Cheers Kev

Kev,

As you know I SOLD the rust bucket (Holden) and bought a real toy. IF I DID drive over in the new FORD ute I would probably miss Sydney and go straight to Bathurst to show the CHEATS why the FORD boys have no need for dirty under handed tricks. Then again Holden have never built a six cylinder that puts out 270kw. In fact their V8 doesn't even have that much grunt. Maybe Ford should run their sixes to give you guys a better chance.

P.S. I tried to burn the Holden Jackets and T-Shirts BUT the old saying is actually true S%*T really dont burn. Even the Dogs have refused to lay on them in the kennels and I am fast running out of ideas. Maybe I should donate them to the museum in case Holden ever win another race.

Holden/Ford...bad as each other signlol
CHEVY...
Bathust is cause we want to kill a few days signlol
Now NASCAR...that is top of the edge racing...200mph for 500miles...true test of driving on the edge over long periods, true test of fabrication, engine builders.

Steps,

The problem with NASCAR drivers is that they spend so much of their time going around in circles it makes them dizzy. That leads to some rash behaviour patterns such as trying to kill one another after doing 500 miles of circle work. Only the Yanks could come up with an idea so dumb it actually attracts one of the largest supporter bases in the sporting world.
Didn't think there were too many (other than the Yanks) who followed that type of follow the leader type racing Whistle Whistle

If you want true racing (without the pit stop strategies) then you should be at Phillip Island for the Moto GP boys in Sept. Now that really is racing without fear (or brains in some cases).

Steps,

If you want a TOP weekend of V8 action you should set aside the time to come to Adelaide and watch the 2 day Clipsal event. Looking forward to next years race as we have just been handed 2 corporate passes to the Ford room above the pits.

Mind you after spending that much money on a ute I was half expecting to get a drive in one of the V8's. Next best thing is a day out with John Bowe which is happening in October. Gotta luv the FORDS
