mijn vrouwtje kakariki is gelijk ziek ze zat in haar broed hokje en nu zit ze heel in een bolletje op een stokje met haar koje in de veren
wie kan helpen
truudeke
Bring her inside, keep her warm (25 - 30 C) and out of draughts / wind. Check that she is eating and drinking, try and tempt her to eat with her favourite food.
Be carefull when you catch her, check her abdomen, she may be egg bound. Feel her gently, if you can feel a hard lump / egg, try and warm her with a little steam from hot water and rub some oil (petroleum jelly) on her lower abdomen. You need to get the egg out without it breaking inside her.
Often when a bird looks like this, it tends to be quite far gone and dies quite quickly but warmth can help her resist whatever is wrong.
