Those are pic s of cocteils not cookatoos
The wild cocteil is grey.
Cockatoos ate 3 times +the size, and there are many species from the 2 sulphur cested , mitchels , galahs thru to the huge black palm cockatoos.

Edirt you pics dowm
1/crop baclground out, subject to the forground
2/resizes ..longest size about 550 pixels
3/Save as (change the name so dont over write the orginal pic) choose jpg, and with jpg an opition box appears, set compression about 20 to 25%

Then when posting u will see at the bottom "attachments"
Hit "browse" go to the pic on your machine
Hit the "add attachment"
Make any comments you would like to make
Submit the post.

if it's my cockatiels make it just 2x the size
signlol
But to be 100% technical, cockatiels are actually part of the cockatoo family.

Btw Phil, nice cockatiels. I would say 1 is a male for sure, the grey one. Then there's a pearl, if it's an adult she is a female, looks like a 'silver' mutation. And then the yellow one I could not say.
I wish you good luck breeding them.

Nice explanation on how to attach/upload pics and files, will keep it at hand to copy/paste next time someone is having difficulties.

set compression about 20 to 25%

Irfranview and Paint.net have the option to save as % of original quality. I usually select 80-90%, depending on quality and size of the pic.

Please remember everyone to drop by and vote for our favorite species as forest bird of the year:

Steptoe will send all of those who vote a kakariki.net t-shirt signed by him.
I already have mine.

Cheers / Pablo

Its in the how to section..
Seems MS paint is the only pic editor that doesnt have the compression...
Stupid
The reason for 20 to 25% is this redudces pics to about 15 to 30 kb...makes the page load faster , thats the load off my server and keeps my BW usage down...rem server is just an old gaming machine I built 9/10 yrs ago and is run out of my office at home here.
