Has you know I am relativley new to the wonders of Kakariki birds from buying Kaka my male kakariki only 9 months ago pairing him with a female lutino Kiki building an aivery and witnessing the birth of 2 chicks.. Forgive my ignorance but could someone help in identifying the species and sex of the birds. Here are my photo's hope you can help.
sorry, no clue here
but I'm not that good sexing kakariki by picture
if they are males they'll kickly get bigger than their mother
if females then they'll stay about the size of the mother
also hold them and compare the width of their beaks, that will give you an idea if the chicks are the same sex or not
Also check under the wing ..there is a strip
Well defined a female fainter broken male. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
