hi we have pair of barrabands pair of teils and one kaki male we think that the barra fermale killed the young kaki female is this posibble the barras wre bought last week the kaki on sunday we found the kaki dead this morning the teils have young and none seems to mind what could have happen

I no nothing about barras...
I do know weconsidered them as a comunity and breeding opition many yrs ago and discarded as a suitable opition very quickly.
Why...I cannot rem.
Main options we consider...
Noise...volume and if pleasant enough.
Chewers....do we need steel or wooden frames and/or heavier mesh.
Diet...will our curent kakariki diet also suit them

If they meet those then
Suitable in community,
Avaory /flight size requirements

Very few get past the 1st 3.

There has been recently a lot of constructive descussion on mixed community flights and species...

on your check list noise to bad melodic
chew not more than normal
food exactly the same as kaki
but thing i will put them in own fight

The list is what suit OUR ciircunstance
If we lived on a smaller section or a rural enviroment, they would be very different
