After switching to sky broadband several weeks ago I could no longer connect to this website, just tried now and its suddenly working again, yeah. Been ages since I could browse here properly. <v>

We have been making some changes in the last 12 hrs....
But nothing that would make such a change.
This has been an issue not just for Manders who emailed me a month or so back about it but other members and visitors according to server logs.
After a lot of investigation wall the only conclusion is ...and I do not know if many ppl are aware of this, finally the internet is running out of ip numbers. So to get around this a new level (over simplified) of networking has being introduced around the world isps (your providers).
I know a lot of isps, DNs servers, and bits of the internet have had delays in full upgrading.

This seems , according to server logs , be from recently released ip number ranges, in particular the range 2.xx.xx.xx

i've also had this issue until this week, i have had three separate routers from Sky Broadband. Each time the new router was installed it worked perfectly for a week or so then i got the error messages and couldn't visit the site which leads me to think the issue is with sky and the router they supply. I have been on many forums and the most popular advice is the reason sky supply the router free is because it is not a particularly good router. I bought a new router (my own) and they then refused to generate a password to allow me to use it with their broadband.

I did however send back the first two routers for inspection (at their request), i've not heard any outcome as yet.

It was like banging my head off a brick wall wall I work within a complaints department for a large company and i am usually very good at sorting these things out but i fear i may have been broken by this particular issue.

Hopefully this is an end to it once and for all.
