Hello.

My name is Morgane, I'm 13, I live in France ( Normandie ). I speak very little (bad) English, I'm sorry. I understand (little) but i don't speak.

Here is my Kakariki, " Kirby " . I was told it was a female... It's really ?

( She is very pretty, I know. :P )

Bonjour Morgane,

w3c to the forum, and don't worry about your English, we understand you perfectly.
I'm not very good at telling sex from pictures, but maybe someone else from the forum will give you an opinion.

Greetings / Pablo

Your English is fine...better than Fine.
Im pretty sure it is a male...and a nice looking bird to.
Its a bit scruffy, can u tell us a bit of background so we can help getting it looking nice and tidy...

And the French Rugby team landed in NZ with a huge w3c from local Kiwis....
Im giving the French and Aussie teams a good rating for the world cup...I dont believe the ABs have it in the bag as most seem to believe

Cheers
Steps.

Hi!

you may also want to check this website, this gentleman also keeps kakariki, and he is French, the site has some nice tips and pictures.
http://kakariki.free.fr/0essaicibleindex.htm

Sometimes people, with the best intention, judge the sex, and they can make a mistake. That's why I prefer not to tell the sex by pictures, unless I'm 100% sure, and preferably if there are 2 birds of different sex in the picture. Other people have a better perception of sex, I even have a friend that even in certain species of parrots that are not really dismorphic (aratinga, poicephalus), he is able to reasonably guess the sex by looking at the beak, head etc...

He is talking about rugby
Cheers / Pablo

thank you for your answers.

My parents don't touch my bird. When it calmed down, I would look under her wings, thank you!

From what I have been told from those who speak several languages, the translators are sort of OK going from non english to English but rather 'creative' to say the least English to other.
So I leave it there for those who have no english, MAY be able to figer out what is being said.
How it handles my posts, Im a bit dislyxec (creative) is anyones gess Shocked
