Right so once my kakarikis are in the aviary, they start breeding and the female has chicks etc...

Shocked Now what do i do???

I've been trying to get some Kakariki books locally but because Kakarikis are uncommon in these parts its difficult...

But if they do have chicks, do i separate them and have to spoonfeed...

I doubt i will keep the chicks, so how old do they have to be until they can be sold to a petshop etc... not being cruel just being practical...

im hoping to get a pair of lovebirds to put with the kakarikis and budgies in the aviary then it will be complete (two new female budgies to breed with the 2 males).

Kakariki are good parents, feed them well.

Many commercial and some private breeders wean far too early, a practice that this site and members do not condone. A practice that is far too common, not just in birds but other animals like cats/dogs etc
Kakariki are best weaned about a week after leaving the nest...BUT this often depends on what the design of the nest is like.
The most reliable measure is about a week to after the iris in the eye has fully developed. At this stage the male still often feeds the chick, and may do so for several more weeks, the chick is now a teenager and is ready to move on independent of its parents without problems.
I above is a personal assessment of timing, I would like other breeders to share their thoughts on timing also
