2nd pic look like different sex, so they could be a pair.
(btw... u mis-matched the description of the pics signlol)

About mutations...

1st pic is a goldcheck
2nd pick: right it could be pied + cinnamon or maybe something else? left it's another goldcheck

goldcheck is a combination of recessive pied + dominant pied, they are yellow with black eye. They go also under the name of BEC or DEC (black or dark eyed clear) (I used to think BEC/DEC was a different mutation to pied, but it's not).

And of course... w3c to the forum!!!

w3c ...... and hellooo neighbour...!!

top one to me looks like a male .... other 2 look like a pair but hard to see as steps said ... can you get a better pic of the pair?

are their eyes black or red? they look red in the pic but prob flash....??

mutation names seem to be rather confused here in uk.... a lot of people call yellow mutations Lutino but pretty sure thats only if they have red eyes..... have also heard people call them buttercups .... most of mine are completley yellow... except for the red crown n spots under the wings have a white/pink beak and pink feet n toenails and white underfluff...... where as my green pied have black feet with pink patches and black toenails and dark gray underfluff.

where did you get them? just out of interest interest

May,

as you correctly guess what most people call "lutino" is in fact just a combination of recessive + dom. pied with black eye, also called Goldcheck or BEC/DEC.
It's a different mutation to lutino. Lutino would be completely yellow with red eyes.
Note that sometimes goldchecks have a green patch somewhere, sometimes even just 1 small feather in the cheek or in the head, it's almost impossible to notice.

The name buttercup is also mentioned somewhere here in the forum, it's also used (incorrectly) for yellow head Indian Ringnecks.

pabs i just call mine the babana family wall looking at the pic of the "pair" above not sure if they have pale green on the sides or if its shadow.... so if its green does that make them a very yellow pied.... or a pied goldcheck?

in my opinion it's still pretty much a goldcheck as it's a bird that is almost completely yellow
if it has extended green patches then I think it shouldn't be called goldcheck or BEC, but rather a "heavy pied".
But this is just my personal opinion, a suggestion, as I'm no authority in kakariki mutations, just a humble fancier.
