Rob, we would like see pics of your spangles and pictures of course.
Will you also upload pics to your website?

Nice to know from you. I'm sad we finally couldn't meet up in Zwolle last september, I couldn't find your stand Sad

About the parblue I'm not sure. The pics I saw from facebook make me think is a blue bird, to me the blue goldcheck looks white actually.

Rob, if you have facebook try to access this url
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.305946072836626.64598.305938222837411&type=1
There are a few pics of these birds.

Rob i was thinking the same as you , the cap should be pure white as should the ear patches. these birds show a cream almost dirty white. It may also be the quality of the photo.

Hey guys, just spent some more time studying the blue birds. I think there are more blue birds than was first thought. the bird Pablo posted has dirty white crown and ear patches, lighter blue in general possable par blue. original 2 blues much darker blue and clear crowns and ear patches, true blues? wonder how many blue series birds he has bred ,my guess is many!!! this would explain the auction? Just my thoughts, hopfully we will get more info in coming weeks?

The dirty White crown means there is some melanin (black pigment) left. Probably this may vary as red crowns vary from Crimson to dark Crimson. On my computer I can not see psittacine in the crown. Parblue with a partial psittacine reduction like Turquoise always show the least reduction on the wings. In that case I would expect greenish wings.

Rob, there is a tread about the Spangled mutation. Maybe you already found it. http://www.kakariki.net/ftopict-2532.html
