Over the last three months, my kakariki shares the same cage with a cockatiel, since his mate passed away. There wasn' t any bad behaviour until the last few days. He s gone mad, trying to bite us or the cockatiel, he doesn t sing unless to express his bad temper, and he doesn t leave the other bird to rest and sleep.
Is this a sign that he is ill or in pain and can t stand anything? Or he decided now that he doesn t like any of us????
Everything else is ok! He eats normally or whenever there is a tablet/ mobile in the room wants to play with it (it is his favour toy... )
I would talk to a vet about this sudden change in behaviour, and look close at the environment. Is there anything else he may have got into while out of the gage... pewter/ lead ornament?
u may try separating them in different cages and room.. see what happens. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
Well, there isn t something that has changed lately. I ve separated them today into two different cages. If his behaviour doesnt improve, i will visit a vet. Thanks for replying so soon!
