Okay, I have 1 yellow crown left as well as 4 Red Crown Cinnamon.
Can you please advise if these are Hybrids or Mutations so I know whether to let them breed or not?

Karen,
It is always hard to be 100% acurate when judging on photos but the birds in your pics appear to be pure bred birds. The only one I would question is your remaining yellow front. Have a look at the crown area and if it is the same colouration as the one that you lost then it is a hybrid. Did you purchase both yellow fronts from the same breeder ????

I am fairly confident that your red fronted birds are pure.

look close at the crown of the yellow, it should be pure yeelow feathers, no red at all.
Again the red will have no yellow in the crown or ear spots.
It is diffucult from photos as colours can change and differnt computers (videocards)/monitors also give slightly diff effects
The red, does look a little more yellow in the green body feathers here. I dont think this is a hybrid effect , more likely a mutation of some sort. We dont have mutations in NZ so I am not qualified to comment on that.

Thank you very much for your responses.
I was hoping they were as I would not have bred them if they were hybrids. jump

The yellow front was from a different breeder, the red feathers stop at the line and do not intrude into the yellow feathers.
