We give it without any problems.
It grows next to the avairy wire, so they keep it trimed
Basal, mint, rosemary, chives also grow around the avairies

Tiki likes to make soup out of his water, everything I give him to eat goes in the water, he loves to have dried pineapple and it gets dipped in the water then he eats it, I love watching him when he drops it in there and hes trying to get it out with his foot, he wont give up till he gets it boack out again, I love the determination. So with his food dipping all day he gets his water changed 2 times a day.
Is it ok to give them dried fruit within moderation as I know its higher in sugar than fresh fruit?

I dont use forumated foods period...
Other than
A little (10 pinches/week) minerial/vitamin powder once a week
A few small cat biskets once a week or so...couple each.
A couple cap full of cider vingar on the veggies couple times a week...

thats All spread amounst 60 odd parrots .
I have not had to worm for just over a yr, checks are -ve
last sprayed for mites (prevenitive) nearly a yr ago
In just over 4 yrs...
From memory...lost
1 hen to egg binding
3 chicks deformed 3 yrs ago
Lost 4 adults over several yrs experimenting with breeding in colonies, and a couple batches of very young chicks, due to the same.
Have 2 fully grown 2 yrs old deformed females ..both cant fly and 1 has asmma.
And lost somewhere between 50 to 80 from being needlessly killed due to NZ Dept of Conservation Policy towards heathy endangered native species, bred by private breeders.
