Hi marco, just weaned some chicks. my advice: let the parents feed them for 2 weeks or so. It saves you getting up in the middle of the night and (more important) healthwise it is also better to let the parents give them a healthy start/ Let us know how you are getting om Speak to the hand

Explain what you want to do?
Eventually hand feed? and why?
Is the "why" neccessary to for for what you eventually want when the chicks wein off the parents.
As Bert says, just let the parents do their thing, and supply all their needs to do so....Use the quick search block to the left for diet etc info.
Then sit back and just obseve, learn, and enjoy nature at work.
We can all learn from them...their total committment to their family and how they end up raising heathy indepedant adults
