Hi,
I had to remove the first clutch as they never hatched. Now there are 6 eggs again! However, although the female is in the nest box most of the day, she is sleeping next to the male out of the nest box at night. Is this a problem and perhaps the reason why the first clutch didnt hatch?
Not good, once most or all of the eggs have bben laid , the female then starts to incubate..
Normally both the male and female are in the nest together at night.
This is usually an issue with hand reared birds
It may not be too late to put under a sarogate hen..even of a diiferent species, budgie, burke, red rump or what ever
OR put in an incubator. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
