w3c i keep mine in a cage, from experience if you put a box in they will breed, mine have just had two chicks others on this site who have avairys will probably give better advice. You say you don't know what sex they are the male has a bigger beak and head than the female if you look in the forums to the left other members have put pictures of there birds on the site you will see what i mean from there. I am a bit confused you say one is green and one is yellow did you buy these as a pair or just pick the two colours as there are different species and mutations in kakarikis.

The only silly question is the one that isnt asked

duno

If u have a nest box, the kakariki will sleep in it,
If u have a night box, the kakariki will sleep in it
The nest box is the one that they decide to nest in...
d'oh!

Labeling the boxes doesnt help either, kakariki are independant by nature, and stubborn and will not take any notice of the signs. Wink

Little more Seriously...Throw a couple inches of untreated wood shavings in both

Which box is which...that turns out to be a non event
male female? u would only worry if they where something else
u have done right with cage size...

There is a search box to the left where u can get anyother info...diet and such

What worry?

Get to know them, get their trust and enjoy.
