Crying or Very sad

Can someone please help!! After getting Morkie over his grieving period after losing Mindy, I came home from work today to discover he has hurt himself!!! There is blood all over his cage (like as though he was sneezing) and he is all ruffled around the right hand side of his neck up to his eye!! Bless him, he looks rough but he is on top form! Im thinking he has caught himself on something in his cage. Im worried just for his general welfare. Is there anything that anyone could suggest in terms of supplements etc to boost him incase he gets run down?? (needless to say, I have taken all risks out of his cage and he's currently in his bath having the time of his life!!) He has a cockateil friend Jack beside him in another cage so I dont think he is too lonely as she is very 'vocal' and keeps him in craic!!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello, Evie,

Sorry to hear about your bird. I just wonder should he get antibiotics in order to prevent possible infection. My Francis hurt his eye few months ago (I would never think a bird can get a black eye but here you go)and I believe Ornicure has helped to save his vision.

Steptoe had advised me not to use mineral supplements (and a cuttle fish bone) when administering Ornicure. It's a great stuff and I always keep a few sachets handy, just in case.

Best of luck,

Pavs
