Hi , I tried to post yesterday but I don't see it so here I go again. I am from Ontario Canada, and about a year ago I was given a cinnamon hen in poor condition. Her tail feathers and flights were gone, I think it was a poor diet. She soon recovered and started calling for a male all of the time. I bought a yellow male for her, and in January I put a nest box on. They started mating 2 months ago, and she goes in and out of the box, but hasn't laid any eggs. I don't understand this I thought they were prolific eggs layers? Could her rough past make her infertile? I have lights on from morning till night there are other small birds in the room but they don't seem to mind. +-
