I have a yellow fronted pied female and a yellow fronted male (he is not pied). He is mock feeding her and I have put two nest boxes in for them but that seems as far as they will go.They haven't started mating yet and I wondered if there was anything more I could do? Do I need another pied or will these birds eventually mate?

Fisherman, these birds should be fine you dont need another pied for them to breed. up the soft food eg. fruit and veg maybe some calcium above all be patient. one more thing are you sure they are a pair, some cocks will try to feed another cock bird if there is no hen.
