hello, I will be getting 2 kakariki's hopefully Saturday, or Monday. I've been reading posts on this forum and found it very informative. Looking forward to being a member. I do not have an aviary, and my babies are handfed male and female, different clutches, red fronts raised together just a few days apart in age. I am looking forward to their antics. I asked the breeder not to clip wings but it was too late, and they are being shipped and there was a concern the airline could open the carrier. I plan on letting their flight feathers grow back in as they are strong flyers and I don't think it's fair to take that away from them. I may need to confine their playtime to my bedroom when their feathers grow back in as I have a big concern about them flying out the door. I tried to add a picture but I guess I need to learn to size it.

A belated w3c. How are your new little kaks going then? Look forward to seeing some pics of them. Hope they have settled into their new home happily. They will give you so much joy and amusement, such wonderfully inquisitive little characters with beautiful natures. Enjoy.

thanks for the w3c! They are really fun little cuties. They love to bathe! The male (Toby) is a little pushy with the female (Rosa) but I think it's just part of their rambunctious nature. I have some cute pictures of them after a bath but couldn't figure out how to size them. I will try this weekend. They are a lot of fun!
