hi wondering if safe to remove dead baby found in hope she will not harm others..??

Hi,soz 4yet another thread-just to recap,baby removed..another chick hatched..seems to not stand a chance ..other two chicks two weeks old...dad enters nest to feed mother and elder chicks ..both parents seen to feed older chick two eggs remain mother still brooding them.(very crowded nest;))
i guess altho heatbreaking its best to let nature take its course..(wish i cld do SOMETHING)

That could very well be the problem...

Yes remove dead chicks, they can attract ants etc

nest box is roughly 20cms diameter hexagonal..about 35cms tall possibly bigger.
shld like to invest in one of those boot-boxes. nxt time.
