can anyone help please my female died 2 days ago now my male is showing strange behaviour he paces from side to side and makes strange noises Sad

thanks he's out for 3 hours is that not long enough as the kakariki is a new breed for me.when we bought them they told me and my wife that they was a red rump it was only when we looked on the internet that we found out that they was kakariki's.

Sounds like hes pining for his m8...
im thinking keep him occuped.

I removed a female a couple months ago, chicks still in nest but only days away from leaving the nest...they had been together for 2 yrs, and last season had 5 lots of chicks.....
He was very busy with the chicks, they left the nest and again very busy weaning them.
He did not pine at all.
