my 8 month old hen ozzie recently started laying eggs. she also had an accident involving a door and her head from being so nosey!! have noticed she is now loosing feathers from around her head, neck and shoulders. she is active and happy, chattin away at present but i am starting to get really concerned about the feather loss. any help would be greatly appreciated. Laughing

Looks like a normal moult at this time. During moult my birds get daily eggfood because this has a high level of proteins. Proteins are are the building blocks of new feathers.

Espec this is when we feed chopped up chicken /chop bones...for the left over meat, the cartlage, and the bone marrow.
Protein, calcuim, iron etc.
