Hey guys, I'm new on here. Became the proud owner of a three month old female handreared green kak three days ago.
I've kept a lovebird, a budgie and cockateils in the past. (All tamed by myself) I work in a petshop so animals are my passion.
I'm actually off work with a back injury at the moment so I have lots of time to spend with the new addition who I've named Pip.
Any hints or tips for me to help her settle and form a close bond with me.

Thanks in advance.

Make use of the "quick search" block on the left
Words like taming diet apple cider

And keep in mind kakariki have evolved in a very unique isolated environment.. no mammals they are quite different to most other species in diet personality, even how they walk across a cage roof, and feed.

The generally dont tame down to a cuddly soft toy like most pets, but one tends to co habit with a good friend....and compared to other species are hypo, active all the time.
