So I'm very new to birds, but I fell in love with my little Kakariki called Fidget.
I find half the stuff he does worrying, I have no idea which little quirks means he is happy or sad. But I've noticed one that I haven't been able to work out through googling, so I'm here because this looks like the best place to ask.
He has recently started twitching his head up and down while chewing nothing. I sat next to him for about 20 minutes and he did it continuously. I tried interrupting it by giving him a treat and he took the treat, ate it, then went straight back to it.
nodding his he.. we will assume he is a he.. and chewing.. usually they have regurgitated a little food, and wishes to share it it with a mate.
