not being funny or anything but the only pied yellow fronts i have seen, from people who belive in there own crap have been hybrids. one bloke from down south tried to pull the wool over my eyes ,telling me i could have his pied yellow fronted hen for $300 , i thought bargain ,you beauty as ive never heard of them here (perth) he even said he would deliver, even better. this very small hybrid arrived at my place (red flicks through the yellow)I was warned ages ago if it sounds to good to be true ,its usually a lie anyway, i wont say on here my exact words i used but he left pritty quickly.

There are cinnamon, pied and mottled pied mutations in the Yellow fronted Kakariki here in Australia. I recently visited a breeder who has all three in his collection and they are geniune birds (not hybrids).
The pied and cinnamons were actually first bred in Australia around 15 years ago but because of the hybridising that subsequently took place there are very low numbers here currently.
I hope to add some of these mutations to our collection in the future.
In NZ, as far as I can establish the pied yellow WAS the only mutation many decades ago...
As far as ANY mutations in NZ, other than a couple of reds with white toes I have, and 1 other breeder...and some in the wild on a remote island...there are NO MUTATIONS in NZ.
We (us and the other breeder) have worked these reds with white toes for several genetations...best we got was 2 toes/claws that colour. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
