Hi there is it possible that one of them is a mottled ? They look the same as bec's as adults If thats the case they won't breed yellows at all just splits. Have they breed yellows before ? The cock bird is carrying cinnamon or fallow if there are lighter babies. Is there any colour show on either parents or pure yellow ? Cheers Kevin

This is there 1st cluster with me the male looks like he has a little green color around the eye in the sun but looks yellow in the shade.
l dont mind if l dont breed yellows but it just seem weird to me that they are yellow but babies are green and now l am understanding the reason behind the colours.

Hi Guys 1 of them has to be a mottled. If they were both bec's (yellows) thats all that would be in the nest. The trouble is an adult mottled looks just like a bec. Mottleds start out like a normal, be it cinnamon or green then turn yellow over the 1st 12 to 18 months. Were did you buy them as most of the mottleds have gone with the price drop in the bec's here in Australia. Cheers Kev
