I first heard of it a few months ago and in the early pictures it looked fake (the pics where like too bightly coloured almost flouresent) There was quite a bit of discussion on forums about it....but recently new pics have come out and it has gone to a few bird shows or convertions.........I think its all a little bit sad ..........I cant get the little video because of my dodgey internet connection so tell me what its like.....
oh yeah its real i just hope other people dont start trying to breed them for the $$$$$$ it was a bit silly to mention how much she got offered for the bird......It is a pretty bird though i hope someone takes good care of it for the rest of its life

Hi Guys yes it is true there is a short video at http://www.talkingbirds.com.au/ and also a article in the latest Australian Aviary Life magazine. Thanks Kev
Edit: Australian Aviary Life magazine link is in the Member's Sites Block on the right of the front page.

Looks quite real to me. I even googled Galah, cockatiel and galatiel to get a comparison. Wonder if it is fertile. Have other Australian parrots hybridised?

I looks like a real bird alright . I don't see it well enough to judge. the pearling on the wing suggests cockatiel I guess. Ineresting. All past rules of genetics say that the birdu would be sterile.
I wish I could see it better.
I woulld like to see it better myself, but I'm afraid that thats the only clip I have. I downloaded it from a Parrot forum site here in England. _________________ Cheers Alan
