Hi All,
First time poster on these forums, im looking for some advice as im not sure as to how serious this problem is, I have already booked a vet appointment however it isn't until tomorrow morning.
Whilst administering some oral intrafungol to my Kak a few days ago (respiratory fungal infection) I noticed that the back digit on her left foot is very swollen and red.
I have tried to have a closer look at it however she took great disdain to me touching that particular toe the toe itself is swollen right from the end up to about a few millimetres from the joint. It looks as it the toe has swollen but is being blocked by something. I have read up on constricted toe syndrome and although my Kak is a few years old this does seem to fit the bill.
Other than this problem she is in great health otherwise and is still fully mobile in terms of she will happily move around her cage/climb etc. She does however favour that foot when possible.
What I really would like to know is how serious this could be and if there is anything i could do to relieve any pain/discomfort until i taker her to the vets tomorrow?
