If anyone is wanting a day out there's the Newark Birdshow coming up the date is Sunday 13th Feb. We went a few months ago and was impressed with the quality and price of all the birds inc kakarikies. Most of the kaki were being sold for around 20 each. Check out this website for details, admission and directions.

We went last year and came back with a couple of Parrot finches, put your woolies on though, its basically in a tin shed and, very cold, and not great for some of the more tropical birds.
