My male kakariki has started moulting and is becoming rather clumsy. Falling off his perch on occasions. Is this normal?
I am giving him fresh strawberries, broccoli and raisins as treats, and he has Vitakraft Nature Dinner as his main food. Are these ok to give him? Should I give him something else during his moult?

The diet..
the quick seach block on the left of the page...look for a thread "what do you feed your...."
Treats..treats are ONLY used for taming and training, they are not part of a variared consistant diet.
Before and during mult birds require calcuim and phosphorus, iron and protein and vit c , and require the same before and during and after breeding season.....which is at the end of the day all year round.....a consistant varied and suitable diet.
Feed 'treats' is loike locking someone in a cell, feed bread and water, and then the odd scrap of meat, or bit of broccolli /peas and an apple as a treat once a week then expect that person to be healthy and fit.

And thats like feeding ones children vit suppliments for main meals, and a couple straw berries and a small packet chips in their lunch box, then expect them to learn in the classroom and be fit for sports.
Which in todays world is acceptable practice and slowing killing a generation obese, not able to learn, lazy cause lack of energy children.
